Welcome to the Sandhills Quilters Guild web site – we are delighted you’re here! Please explore our site to find out more about becoming a member, joining a bee, or taking advantage of our quilt book and ruler libraries. Also check out the calendar, which highlights our upcoming meetings and workshops, and learn about our many and varied outreach programs.
The Sandhills Quilters Guild was organized as a non-profit organization to promote and perpetuate the art of quilting through education and outreach in the Sandhills of North Carolina. Organized with a handful of members in 1982, the Guild has since grown to 110+ quilters from all over Moore County and beyond. Our strong membership makes an impact on the community through a number of outreach programs, our very popular bi-annual Quilting in the Pines quilt show and in the alternate year, we have a quilt exhibit at the annual Palustris Festival in Pinehurst.
The guild meets at 9:30 AM every third Tuesday of the month at First Baptist Church, 200 East NY Avenue, Southern Pines, NC. During the meetings, participants share ideas, show their latest creations, and enjoy workshops and programs by nationally known teachers and member quilters. Guests are welcome!
